Burial Urns with Flower Seeds

These biodegradable urns include wildflower seeds, creating a living tribute that blooms with memory and love.

A gentle return to the earth, and a new beginning in color and life.

How to Plant One

The urn is buried directly and breaks down with the moisture in the soil. Our guide to planting a biodegradable urn walks through choosing the spot, preparing the soil, and sowing the butterfly seeds that come with every kit. For a tribute in a place you already tend, planning a garden memorial covers the smaller version of the same idea.

Earth or Water

Families often ask which one is right. It usually comes down to where the person felt most themselves. If the answer is the ocean, a lake, or a river, our water tribute urns are made to float briefly and then dissolve. Our overview of eco-friendly memorials compares the options without pushing one.
